Test Drive ‘Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!!’

If you’re going to be at New York Comic-Con this weekend (and why wouldn’t you be), barrel your way over to the Nintendo camp at Booth #1510 and fiddle with the show’s first video game in person weeks before next month’s official release. Here’s the skinny from the folks at D3P:

D3Publisher (D3P) and Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) today announced that Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!! will be showcased in the Nintendo of America Booth located at Booth #1510 on the 2012 New York Comic Con show floor. Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!! is the first handheld action-adventure game based on Adventure Time, the number one Cartoon Network television series and Emmy Award nominee. New York Comic Con takes place October 11th – October 14th and is held at the Jacob Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. The game will be available for the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system and Nintendo DS™ hand-held system for $29.95 this fall.

Thank grod the collector’s edition is coming out for regular DS too. I want that little sword stylus.

Ever wonder what Adventure Time would look like if it were a 1949 film directed by Jules Dassin? Of course you haven’t. But here’s a background from next Monday’s episode, “BMO Noire,” for kicks.

The episode’s background designers were ghostshrimp, Santino Lascano, Derek Hunter, Jon Vermilyea, and Peter Herpich. The painters were Martin Ansolabehere, Sandra Calleros, and Ron Russell. The show’s art director is Nick Jennings.

Let me tell you how excited I am for this episode.
